 ความเป็นมา / Background
กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ ซึ่งก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2520 เป็นกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมหนึ่งในจำนวน 39 กลุ่ม ของสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย อย่างไรก็ตาม เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2549 ได้มีการจัดตั้ง สมาคม อุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ไทยโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการดำเนินนโยบายและบทบาทเช่นเดียวกับกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม ปูนซีเมนต์และเป็นหน่วยงานประสานงานระหว่างผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์กับหน่วยงานอื่นๆ ทั้งภายในและต่างประเทศ สมาชิกร่วมก่อตั้งสมาคมอุตสาหกรรม ปูนซีเมนต์ไทย คือ บริษัทผู้ผลิต ปูนซีเมนต์์ชั้นนำ 8 บริษัท ได้แก่
- บริษัท เอสซีจี ซิเมนต์ จำกัด (เดิม คือ บริษัท ปูนซิเมนต์ไทยอุตสาหกรรม จำกัด)
- บริษัท ปูนซีเมนต์นครหลวง จำกัด (มหาชน)
- บริษัท ทีพีไอ โพลีน จำกัด (มหาชน)
- บริษัท ปูนซีเมนต์เอเซีย จำกัด (มหาชน)
- บริษัท ชลประทานซีเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน)
- บริษัท ภูมิใจไทยซีเมนต์ จำกัด
- บริษัท เซเม็กซ์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด
- บริษัท สามัคคีซีเมนต์ จำกัด
สมาคมอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ไทยยังเป็นสมาชิกองค์กรผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์ในภูมิภาคเอเซีย โดยเป็นผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งสหพันธ์ผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์แห่งอาเซียนหรือ ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) เมื่อปี 2520 โดยมีประเทศสมาชิกได้แก่
- Butra Heidelberg Cement Sdn Bhd จากประเทศบรูไน
- Indonesia Cement Association จากประเทศอินโดนีเซีย
- The Cement & Concrete Association of Malasia จากประเทศมาเลเซีย
- Cement Manufacturers' Association of the Philippines, Inc จากประเทศฟิลิปปินส์
- The Cement & Concrete Association of Singapore จากประเทศสิงคโปร์
- Vietnam National Cement Association จากประเทศเวียดนาม
นอกจากนี้ สมาคมอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ไทยยังเป็นสมาชิกของ Asian Cement Producers Amity Club (ACPAC) และ Asian Cement Forum (ACF) เช่นกัน
Background of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association
Thailand Fellowship of Cement Manufacturers (TFCM), which was founded in 1977 was one of the 39 industry clubs under the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Subsequently, in 2006, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association or TCMA has been established with the same roles and objectives as TFCM in serving as a coordinating office among Thai cement manufacturers and government agencies as well as non-government organizations in the country and international levels. The 8 initial co-founders of TCMA are Thai leading cement manufacturers namely:
- SCG Cement Co.,Ltd.
(formerly known as Siam Cement Industry Co.,Ltd.)
- Siam City Cement Public Co.,Ltd.
-TPI Polene Public Co.,Ltd.
- Asia Cement Public Co.,Ltd.
- Jalaprathan Cement Public Co.,Ltd.
- Thai Pride Cement Co.,Ltd.
- Cemex (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
- Samukkee Cement Ltd.
Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) is also the members of international cement organizations in the region. For instance, TCMA has been the co-founder of The ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) since 1977 with 7 country members in ASEAN region namely :
- Butra Heidelberg Cement Sdn Bhd, Brunei Darussalam
- Indonesia Cement Association - The Cement & Concrete Association of Malaysia
- Cement Manufacturers' Association of the Philippines, Inc.
- Cement & Concrete Association of Singapore, and
- Vietnam National Cement Association
In addition, TCMA also joins the membership with ACPAC or Asian Cement Producers Amity Club and Asian Cement Forum (ACF).

เพื่อเป็นหน่วยประสานงานระหว่างผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์กับหน่วยงานอื่นๆ ทั้งภายใน
และต่างประเทศ
TCMA is a coordinating office among Thai cement manufacturers and goverment as well as non-government organizations in the country and international level.
วัตถุประสงค์ / Objectives
1. เพื่อเป็นหน่วยประสานงานระหว่างผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์กับหน่วยงานอื่นๆ ทั้งภายในและต่างประเทศ
2. เพื่อเสริมสร้างมิตรภาพ และความร่วมมือในหมู่ผู้ประกอบวิสาหกิจในทางอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์
3. เพื่อเป็นศูนย์กลางในการติดต่อแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นต่างๆ อันเป็นประโยชน์เกี่ยวกับ อุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์
4. เพื่อค้นคว้า เผยแพร่ ส่งเสริม อบรมวิชาการที่ทันสมัย และติดตามความเคลื่อนไหวด้านต่างๆ ที่ เกี่ยวกับอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ อาทิเช่น การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน การอนุรักษ์พลังงาน
5. เพื่อส่งเสริมให้เกิดความร่วมมือ และการประสานงานกับกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ ในต่างประเทศ
6. เพื่อสร้างความเป็นปึกแผ่นในการรักษาและส่งเสริมเสถียรภาพของอุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ ภายในประเทศ
7. เพื่อส่งเสริมมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรมปูนซีเมนต์ภายในประเทศ
The objectives of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association are as follows :
1. To be a focal point for cement producers in coordinating with other related international organizations as well as in the country
2. To promote closer relation and cooperation among the cement manufacturers in the country
3. To serve as a channel of communication and information which deem beneficial to the cement industry
4. To conduct researches, implement, disseminate and promote new technologies, seminars and workshops relating to cement industry among cement manufacturers, emphasizing on sustainable development and energy conservation
5. To promote a close relation and cooperation among international cement manufacturers
6. To create and preserve the stability of the cement industry in the country
7. To promote and upgrade the standard of cement products in the country
บทบาท / Roles
เป็นศูนย์กลางของการติดต่อประสานงานและความร่วมมือของผู้ผลิตปูนซีเมนต์ในประเทศและสมาคมผู้ผลิต ปูนซีเมนต์ต่างประเทศเพื่อให้การดำเนินกิจกรรมต่างๆ ดำเนินไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สมาคมอุตสาหกรรม ปูนซีเมนต์ไทยจึงจัดตั้งคณะทำงาน 4 คณะ ดังนี้
1. คณะทำงานสิ่งแวดล้อมและความปลอดภัย
2. คณะทำงานมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรม
3. คณะทำงานเหมืองแร่ และทรัพยากรธรณี
4. คณะทำงานเทคนิค
TCMA is a center of communication, coordination and cooperation among cement producers in the country and with other international manufacturers associations. In order to accomplish these objectives, TCMA established the following working groups:
1. Working Group on Environment and Safety
2. Working Group on Industrial Standard
3. Working Group on Mining and Mineral Resources
4. Working Group on Technical
