TCMA Shares Industry Perspectives on Scaling CCS in Thailand

Khun Mongkhon Pornchunchoovong, Advisor to Working Committee TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), shared cement industry perspectives in the dialogue “Scaling CCS in Thailand: Policy, Technology, and Finance’, hosted by HSBC Thailand, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), JGC Corporation, and Thailand CCUS Alliance (TCCA).TCMA highlighted the importance of policy and regulatory clarity, technology and emitter readiness, CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure, and appropriate financing mechanisms to create an investable and bankable CCS framework for Thailand’s hard-to-abate industries and support the development of CCS hubs in Thailand.
