TCMA Honours Partners for Advancing Nationwide Low-Carbon Cement Transformation

Khun Surachai Nimla-or, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), together with TCMA Board, presented the “Achievement in the Journey to a New Era of Low-Carbon Cement” award to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanes Weerasiri, former President of Engineering Institute of Thailand Under His Majesty the King’s Patronage (EIT), 2017–2022, in recognition of his contribution to advancing low-carbon cement solutions through the promotion of hydraulic cement. These collective efforts, carried out from 2019 to the present, have contributed to avoiding more than 3.8 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The achievement marks a significant milestone and underscores the power of collaboration in translating low-carbon solutions into tangible climate action and accelerating Thailand’s transition toward Net Zero 2050.
