Business Development with ASEAN Members

  October 17, 2018: Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, General Manager of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led Thai delegation attend the meeting of ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM)-Standing Committee on Business Development (SC-BD) to share business development experience, opportunities and challenges among AFCM member countries during the AFCM 42nd Council Meeting, hosted by Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP), Inc. at Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island, Cebu, the Philippines.

AFCM has main objective to promote cooperation and coordinate among cement manufacturers in the ASEAN member nations, including initiate, encourage and coordinate the preparation and implementation of plans, programmes and projects that will accelerate and harmonize the growth and progress of the cement industry in the region.

AFCM 21st Conference

October 31, 2019: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led its members participated in ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM) 21st Conference, hosted by Cement and Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS). In the meeting, the transfer of the posts was confirmed by the presentation of the Certificates of Election to the incoming AFCM President, Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng of the Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA) and incoming AFCM Vice-President, Mr. Cirilo M. Pestano II of Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Inc. by the outgoing AFCM President, Mr. Widodo Santoso of Indonesia Cement Association (ICA). C&CA will serve as the AFCM secretariat during 2019 – 2021.

TCMA Hands a Ceremonial Garland to Vietnam as the Next AFCM Host

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the Executive Board, including Thai Pride Cement Co., Ltd., Asia Cement PCL., Jalaprathan Cement PCL., Globe Cement Co., Ltd., TPI Polene PCL., SCG Cement Building Materials Co., Ltd., and Siam City Cement PCL., presented a garland adorned with Thai motif, as a ceremonial and a symbol of cooperation, to Vietnam as the host of the AFCM 45th Council Meeting and 22nd Conference in 2024. This marks the official conclusion of the AFCM 44th Council Meeting.
