AFCM Sightseeing Activities: A Distinctively Thai Touch

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) as AFCM 44th Council Meeting host, organized a delightful Thai-theme ‘Thai Touch’, featured sightseeing, posing for photographs in traditional Thai costume at Temple of Dawn and Chao Praya cruise luncheon to conclude the high-profile event together with a meaningful and memorable experience for the AFCM delegates and accompanying.

TCMA Hands a Ceremonial Garland to Vietnam as the Next AFCM Host

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the Executive Board, including Thai Pride Cement Co., Ltd., Asia Cement PCL., Jalaprathan Cement PCL., Globe Cement Co., Ltd., TPI Polene PCL., SCG Cement Building Materials Co., Ltd., and Siam City Cement PCL., presented a garland adorned with Thai motif, as a ceremonial and a symbol of cooperation, to Vietnam as the host of the AFCM 45th Council Meeting and 22nd Conference in 2024. This marks the official conclusion of the AFCM 44th Council Meeting.

Fostering Cooperation among Global-Regional-at the Country Level

Sharing perspective session on ‘Collaboration towards Decarbonization’ is organized during AFCM 44th Council Meeting in Bangkok to integrate cooperation of AFCM with world’s leading cement organizations and Thai government who plays an important role in promoting the transition to a sustainable industry through environmental, social, and governance (ESG). The session is honour to join by Mr. Thomas Guillot, Chief Executive of Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), a global cement and concrete organization with over 80% of world production capacity. Other prominent speakers include Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director-General of Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Worakarn Kosolpisitkul, Executive Director of Investment Promotion 3, Thailand Board of Investment, and TCMA’s members to share on ‘TCMA’s Collaboration towards Decarbonization’.

Welcome Dinner for AFCM Delegates in a Memorable ‘Thainess’ Experience

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the Executive Board put on spectacular welcome dinner for the 44th ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) Council delegates. The dinner featured Thai cuisine and performance, taking place in the evening of the Council’s first day in the magnificent surrounding in Loy Krathong festival in Bangkok.

Khun Attawoot Klainin, Chair Working Group TCMA-Operational Excellence, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led members attended the meeting of Standing Committee on Technical Cooperation (SC-TC), which Vietnam serves as the chair of the meeting during AFCM 44th Council Meeting, hosted by TCMA in Bangkok.

Khun Krit Chinprasartsak, Chair Working Group TCMA-Wisdom, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led members attended the meeting of Standing Committee on Business Development (SC-BD), which Brunei Darussalam serves as the chair of the meeting during AFCM 44th Council Meeting, hosted by TCMA in Bangkok.

TCMA to Host AFCM 2023 with a Focus on “ASEAN Cement Collaboration towards Decarbonization”

November 23-25, 2023, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), on behalf of Thailand, is honored to host the ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers 44th Council Meeting (AFCM) under the theme “ASEAN Cement Collaboration towards Decarbonization” on November 23-25, 2023 in Bangkok. The delegates from seven AFCM member countries are attending the meeting; namely Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn Bhd, Indonesia Cement Association (ICA), The Cement & Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA), Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CeMAP), Cement & Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS), Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), and Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA), including Cambodia Cement Manufacturers Association (CCMA) as observer for the first-time to integrate and further strengthen the cooperation among cement manufacturers in ASEAN.
