Successful Term of AFCM-Standing Committee on Technical Cooperation

  October 31, 2019: Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) has completed 2 years term 2017 - 2019 with successfully serving as coordinating country for ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM)-Standing Committee on Technical Cooperation (SC-TC). On behalf of TCMA, Khun Sompon Chanvaivit, Chair of TCMA Working Committee on Technical received plaque of appreciation from Mr. Soe Puay Wee, President of Cement and Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS) during AFCM 21st Conference, hosted by CNCAS.

AFCM established since 1977 with main objective to promote cooperation and coordinate among cement manufacturers in the ASEAN member nations, including initiate, encourage and coordinate the preparation and implementation of plans, programmes and projects that will accelerate and harmonize the growth and progress of the cement industry in the region.

Fostering Cooperation among Global-Regional-at the Country Level

Sharing perspective session on ‘Collaboration towards Decarbonization’ is organized during AFCM 44th Council Meeting in Bangkok to integrate cooperation of AFCM with world’s leading cement organizations and Thai government who plays an important role in promoting the transition to a sustainable industry through environmental, social, and governance (ESG). The session is honour to join by Mr. Thomas Guillot, Chief Executive of Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), a global cement and concrete organization with over 80% of world production capacity. Other prominent speakers include Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director-General of Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Worakarn Kosolpisitkul, Executive Director of Investment Promotion 3, Thailand Board of Investment, and TCMA’s members to share on ‘TCMA’s Collaboration towards Decarbonization’.

Welcome Dinner for AFCM Delegates in a Memorable ‘Thainess’ Experience

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the Executive Board put on spectacular welcome dinner for the 44th ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) Council delegates. The dinner featured Thai cuisine and performance, taking place in the evening of the Council’s first day in the magnificent surrounding in Loy Krathong festival in Bangkok.
