Advancing TCMA – Saskatchewan Strategic Partnership

Dr. Chana Poomee, Honourary Chairman of , together with the TCMA Executive Board welcomed Honourable Ken Cheveldayoff, Minister of Advanced Education of Saskatchewan and the delegation to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration. An update on Thailand’s cement climate action toward Net Zero 2050, undertaken in collaboration with CETRI, was presented during the meeting. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to low carbon industrial development, advancing cement decarbonization in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Saskatchewan (Ministry of Trade and Export Development) and TCMA.

Cement Industry Perspectives on CCS in Thailand

Khun Boonyoung Thepsut, Members of Working Committee TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) shared industry perspectives at a focus group discussion on “Assessing Knowledge Status and Business Opportunities for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in Geological Formations”, organized by Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University in collaboration with Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, and PTT Exploration and Production PLC, highlighting potential business models, enabling policies, and the role of CCS in advancing the country’s transition toward Net Zero 2050.
