TCMA Joins Forum to Strengthen SMEs in Thailand’s Smart Industry Transition
Khun Surachai Nimla-or, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) together with TCMA Board members, attended forum “Leverage Thai Industry Growth towards Smart Industry”, organized by Siam Cement Group (SCG) and its partners, with a strong focus on empowering SMEs to enhance competitiveness and participate more actively in industrial supply chains. In keynote remarks, Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance highlighted priorities for driving Thailand’s economic and industrial growth, including infrastructure investment and enabling SMEs to access new opportunities in emerging industries. Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Industry emphasized strengthening domestic supply chains and enhancing SMEs’ capabilities, while Dr. Chana Poomee, Advisor to President of SCG and Vice Chairman of Federation of Thai Industries highlighted the role of innovation, digital technologies, and AI in helping SMEs improve productivity and competitiveness. Progress Report on Enhancing Circularity and Co-Processing for Decarbonizing the Cement and Concrete Value Chain in Thailand

March 2-3, 2026: Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair Working Committee TCMA on Innovation and Technology led members of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) attended the seminar “How to Design a Carbon Capture System for Cement Plants: From Process Fundamentals to Implementation Feasibility”, organized by Clean Energy Technologies Research Institute (CETRI), University of Regina, with support from UNIDO and funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). The seminar covered the key technical elements of carbon capture in cement plants, including design basis development, process boundaries, simulation, material and energy balance analysis, plant layout interpretation, control strategies, and waste stream management.
