Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the Executive Members in extending New Year season’s greetings to Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director General of Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), together with Khun Pavich Kesavawong and Khun Komet Putthasorn, Deputy Director General of DCCE and Khun Sivach Kaewcharoen, Director of Climate Change Mitigation Division. Members of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) participated in an exchange on global and national coordination and international best practices on co-processing, organized by Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA). This participation enhanced TCMA’s understanding of co-processing as an effective and sustainable solution to global waste challenges and supported the adaptation of these practices to the Thai context, reinforcing the cement industry’s role in transforming waste into purpose through integrated and sustainable waste management systems in Thailand.

International Seminar on Subsurface Storages in Saline Formations

Khun Tinnakorn Kokkhour, Chair of Working Committee TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led a TCMA delegation to participate the UK–Thailand international seminar on “Subsurface Storage in Saline Formations”, organized by Chiangmai Research Center for Carbon Capture and Storage, Chiangmai University in collaboration with the British Council- International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF), to enhance TCMA’s understanding of recent advancements in carbon capture and storage (CCS) and subsurface storage in saline formations, strengthen industry readiness for future CCS deployment, and enable TCMA to identify opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and pilot initiatives supporting Thailand’s Net Zero goals.

Focus Group for Thailand’s 5th National Communication and 2nd Biennial Transparency Report

TCMA and Saskatchewan, Canada Join Forces on Energy Transition and Low Carbon Innovation

Mr. Nopadol Ramyarupa, Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Saskatchewan, Canada represented by the Honourable Warren Kaeding, Minister of Trade and Export Development, witness by Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, Mr. Panotson Sujayanont, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, and senior representatives from TCMA and the Government of Saskatchewan. This collaboration, focuses the energy-related sector and advanced Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage technologies, aims to advance cooperation leading the cement industry towards Net Zero by 2050 and support Thailand’s NDC 3.0 target while outlining a long-term plan for pilot projects in SARABURI SANDBOX.
