TCMA push for ‘Zero Emission Concept’

Khun Atit Ketraman, member of Working Group TCMA on Circular Economy, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) shared the collaborative action in SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY and the contribution of cement industry with zero emission concept, where the waste generated by one industry is recycled by other industries and the cement industry is already at the industrial cluster.

Technical Workshop on the Advantage of Co-processing in Cement Kilns for Waste Management

Khun Nopadol Ramyarupa, Vice-Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and also served as Chairman of Thailand Fellowship of Cement Manufacturers (TFCM), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) welcomed participants to the technical workshop on “The Advantage of Co-processing in Cement Kilns for Waste Management” with aims to share benefit and best practice on co-processing in cement kiln, the best solution on waste management, organized by TCMA in collaboration with TFCM and Environmental Management Industry Club, with supportation of Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry.

Sixth Meeting in 2024 of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) members’ representative attended 6/2024 meeting of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology, chaired by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai. Welcoming Industry Minister of Thailand

Khun Nopadol Ramyarupa, Vice-Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and acting TCMA Chairman together with TCMA Executive Board welcomed H.E. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry of Thailand and presented progress of 2050 Net Zero pathway of Thai cement industry, including the TCMA’s key policy in building an integrated ecosystem and turning waste to value through the cement production process according to the Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) with aims to maximizes resource efficiency, reduces PM2.5, contributes to the zero-landfill, and most importantly, lowers greenhouse gas emissions.

TCMA in Environmental and Waste Management Expo 2024

November 13-15, 2024: Thai Cement Manufactures Association (TCMA) be part of Environmental and Waste Management Expo 2024 (Enwaste Expo 2024) organized by Environmental Management Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) in collaboration with Sustainability Waste Management Association with theme “Join the movement towards a better planet”. In this Enwaste Expo 2024, TCMA presented 2050 Net Zero pathway of Thai cement industry, the implementation of innovative ecosystem SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY, and advantage of co-processing in cement kilns to achieve carbon Net Zero.

SARABURI SANDBOX-A YEAR of JOURNEY at COP29

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) in collaboration with Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organized a panel discussion “SARABURI SANDBOX: Leading Thailand’s Pathways to a Low-Carbon City” at Thailand Pavillion during COP29. The panelists are: - 1) Dr. Chana Poomee, TCMA Chairman, 2) Mr. Thomas Guillot, GCCA Chief Executive, 3) Mr. Sivach Kaewcharoen, DCCE Director of Climate Change Mitigation Division, and 4) Mr. Sarbojit Pal, UNIDO Industrial Development Expert. The key discussions highlighted a year of journey of "SARABURI SANDBOX", the importance of multi-sector collaboration in building climate resilience, including industry insights to decarbonize, green funding mechanism, low-carbon technology, and regulatory frameworks.
