Technical Discussion with Department of Highways to Reduce CO2 in IPPU Sector

November 25, 2020: From the recent signed Memorandum of Understanding ‘The Integrated Collaboration on Climate Change for Thailand Achieving Target of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction: Clinker Substitution’, Khun Nopadol Ramyarupa, Khun Rapee Sukhyanga and Khun Pakorn Leopairut, Vice-Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the team joined forces with Professor Dr. Somnuk Tangtermsirikul, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) for technical discussion on hydraulic cement performance with the team of Department of Highways (DoH)-led by Khun Apichart Juntatasup, Deputy Director-General (Academic). TCMA stimulated DoH using hydraulic cement in construction in order to support Thailand achieving target of greenhouse gas emission reduction in industrial processes and product use (IPPU) sector-clinker substitution.

November 25, 2020: Following the appointment of Khun Pornpoth Penpas as Director-General of Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning (DPT), Ministry of Interior, Khun Nopadol Ramyarupa, Khun Rapee Sukhyanga and Khun Pakorn Leopairut, Vice-Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) together with TCMA executives extended sincere congratulations and warmest wishes on the recent appointment. TCMA and DPT will further strengthen the collaboration and continue working closely, particularly in CO2 reduction emission by promoting hydraulic cement in construction for the success of Thailand Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Roadmap on Mitigation 2021 – 2030.

Support of Ministry of Commerce in IPPU Sector-Clinker Substitution

November 17, 2020: Following Memorandum of Understanding ‘The Integrated Collaboration on Climate Change for Thailand Achieving Target of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction: Clinker Substitution’, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)-led by Khun Krit Chinprasartsak, Chair of TCMA-Wisdom and Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, TCMA General-Manager together with Khun Chanutsakul Supirak, representative of Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment welcomed team of Economic and Trade Indices Division (ETI), Trade Policy and Strategy Office, Ministry of Commerce (MoC)-led by Khun Prapan Teeklang, Head of Construction Materials Price Indices Group. After successful discussion, MoC agreed to fully support the success of Thailand's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) in reducing CO2 emission by circulating reference price of hydraulic cement to the public in order to promote its in construction of public sector.
