TCMA Board of Directors ApTCMA Board of Directors Approved “Dust Management Policy and Guideline”proved “Dust Management Policy and Guideline”

December 10, 2019: Board of Directors of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) approved “TCMA Dust Management Policy and Guideline” with immediate effect to ensure that Thai cement manufacturers are aware and care of the environment and society which is in responding with industry's goal: - to be an environmentally friendly industry towards sustainable development. The policy covers 1) increasing efficiency of area management, 2) prevention and reduction of dust at the source, and 3) increasing efficiency of dust management.

November 18, 2019: Following H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa’s appointment as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) together with TCMA executives to extend sincere congratulations and warmest wishes on the recent appointment. Both sides will continue working closely and further strengthen the cooperation to achieve the country target on GHG emission reduction amid the rising global concern on environment.

Public and Private Cooperation to Address Thailand Contribution to Goal 13 of Global Agenda-Climate Action

November 18, 2019: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led TCMA executives discussed with H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) on how government and cement industry can work together in achieving Thailand Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Roadmap. ‘Hydraulic Cement’, an environmentally friendly product with greenhouse gas emission reduction, has re-introduced. TCMA requested MNRE Minister immediate pursue bold actions to use hydraulic cement in public construction projects in order to achieve the target, particularly in the sector of Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU).

AFCM 21st Conference

October 31, 2019: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led its members participated in ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM) 21st Conference, hosted by Cement and Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS). In the meeting, the transfer of the posts was confirmed by the presentation of the Certificates of Election to the incoming AFCM President, Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng of the Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA) and incoming AFCM Vice-President, Mr. Cirilo M. Pestano II of Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Inc. by the outgoing AFCM President, Mr. Widodo Santoso of Indonesia Cement Association (ICA). C&CA will serve as the AFCM secretariat during 2019 – 2021.
