Explore Collaboration to Advance CCU Pathway toward Net Zero 2050

  The joint discussion among Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)-led by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair of Working Committee TCMA on Innovation and Technology, UNIDO-led by Ms. Rasha Abdrabu, Project Manager and Industrial Development Expert, GIZ-led by Ms. Siriporn Parvikam Component Lead of Thai–German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility and Climate (TGC EMC),  together with representatives from Translational Energy Research Centre (TERC), University of Sheffield, to explore potential collaboration aimed at advancing and ensuring the successful implementation of TCMA’s Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) pathway for the cement industry. The discussion focused on leveraging international expertise, applied research, and technology transfer to accelerate progress toward Thailand’s Net Zero target by 2050.

TCMA and Chulalongkorn University Explore Partnership on Carbon Capture Technology

Strategic Dialogue on MAF Support for Thailand’s Net Zero Cement Transition

The joint meeting among Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) team-led by Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, Executive Director, UNIDO-led by Ms. Rasha Abdrabu, Project Manager and Industrial Development Expert and GIZ-led by Ms. Insa Illgen, Programme Director of Thai–German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility and Climate (TGC EMC), continued discussions to explore Mitigation Action Facility (MAF) support for the cement industry toward Net Zero 2050. The discussion focused on accelerating the implementation of the Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap, in alignment with Thailand’s climate commitments and global pathways, while enabling scalable greenhouse gas reductions and maintaining industry competitiveness.
