TCMA Highlights LC3 as Key Contribution to LT-LEDS Review for IPPU Sector
Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, Executive Director and Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Committee TCMA-Environment and Climate Action led members of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) in contributing cement industry perspectives during the 3rd focus group on revising Thailand’s Long-Term Low Greenhouse Gas Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS) for the Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU) sector, organized by Department of Climate Change and Environment in collaboration with Thammasat University Research and Consultancy Institute. The discussion placed particular focus on CO₂ reduction opportunities through low carbon cement technologies such as calcined clay cement (LC3), supporting evidence-based policy development and aligning the cement sector’s decarbonization pathway with Thailand’s Net Zero 2050 ambition.
