TCMA Connects Global Expertise to Accelerate Thailand’s Cement Decarbonization

  Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair of Working Committee TCMA on Innovation and Technology, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led a preparatory meeting ahead of the arrival of Thailand’s first Mobile Carbon Capture Unit (MCCU) for the cement industry at SARABURI SANDBOX. This development represents a major milestone in the “Decarbonization of the Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand” project, supported by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The initiative highlights a strong collaboration between industry leadership, international partners, and academic innovation.

TCMA and CU Lay Groundwork for Carbon Capture Collaboration

Second Meeting in 2026 of Working Committee TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement

Members of Working Committee TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) convened for their second meeting of 2026, chaired by Khun Tinnakorn Kokkhour. The meeting reviewed progress with a focus on raw material readiness for calcined clay cement (LC3), while also addressing the impacts of on-going Middle East tensions on the industry. Discussions further highlighted long term priorities to drive cement industry forward in alignment with Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap, supporting NDC 3.0 and the country’s Net Zero targets.
