June 9, 2020: Khun Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) welcomed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry-Khun Kobchai Sungsitthisawad, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources-Khun Pongboon Pongtong, on the occasion of the signing ceremony Memorandum of Understanding Partnership in the Development of Sustainable Limestone Quarries between Siam City Cement Public Company Limited by Khun Siva Mahasandana and The Siam Cement (Kaeng Khoi) Co., Ltd. by Khun Surachai Nimlaor with an honour witness of Director-General of Department of Mineral Resources (DMR)-Dr. Sommai Techwan, Director-General of Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM)- Khun Wisanu Tabtieng, and Secretary-General of Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy Planning (ONEP)-Dr. Raweewan Bhuridej. The two companies, under the MoU will join force with government advice developing limestone quarries in responding to the Mineral Act B.E. 2560 with environmentally friendly-so called ‘Green Mining’ in accordance with circular economy. |
