Technical Meeting on Thailand Minerals Framework Classification

July 2, 2018: The representatives of Thailand Fellowship of Cement Manufacturers (TFCM), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) participated in the Technical Meeting on Thailand Minerals Framework Classification, organized by Department of Mineral Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. This Technical Meeting followed the Mineral Act B.E. 2560 and expected to draft the criteria for classification of mineral resources in Thailand to be accepted by all sectors.

Progress of 2018 Cement Partnership Project Activities

Technical Workshop on MRV Methodology to Monitor GHG Reduction of Cement Industry

First Meeting in 2018 of TCMA-Working Committee on Standard and Conformance

June 13, 2018: TCMA members’ representatives gathered at TCMA’s Office to participate in 1/2018 meeting of Working Committee on Standard and Conformance, chaired by Khun Navadol Tanjaruphand. The meeting discussed on the current status of TISI 2752 standard test methods for cement, while strengthening cooperation and identifying future activities to come along with TCMA’s policy and link with industry trend. Focusing on TISI 2752 standard test methods for cement by working closely with Thailand Industrial Standard Institute (TISI) and promoting of hydraulic cement will be major activities during the year.

TCMA Assigned Unisearch, Chulalongkorn University conducting study

June 1, 2018: According to Thailand development plan together with various changes brings challenges to the industry, TCMA was assigned Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University to conduct study on “Socio-Economic and Environmental Impact Assessment of Cement Production in Thailand”. The study will focus on economic benefit and whole supply chain, including multiplier effect as a result of cement industry’s investment while impact on socio-economic and environment will be assessed to optimize the benefits have taken on new dimensions. Expect the study outcome by end of this year 2018 for decision-maker consideration.

Second Meeting in 2018 of TCMA-Working Committee on Mining and Natural Resources

May 25, 2018: TCMA members’ representatives attended the 2/2018 TCMA-Working Committee on Mining and Natural Resources, chaired by Khun Tinnakorn Kokkhour.
